To ensure the effective use of federal, state,
and local public transportation funds and enhance the mobility of
Idaho's citizens.
This mission is accomplished through planning, grants administration,
coordinating public transportation services and systems,
and evaluating transit needs.
We envision leading the state of Idaho in securing
fully coordinated, intermodal and safe public transportation systems,
which offer viable choices that are accessible, cost effective,
and enhance the livability of our communities. The division will
create approaches that augment greater federal, state, local, and
private investments to promote the public transportation service.
We will uphold the corporate values established
by the department. Furthermore, we believe in being responsive to
the transit needs of the citizens of Idaho and well informed about
public transportation. We are problem solvers who believe in teamwork
and personal commitment, and pay perticular attention to cost effectiveness
and fiscal responsibility. We have respect and appreciation for
the public we serve, and are dedicated to provide safe, accessable,
convenient, and sensible public and private transportation choices
for all who live and visit Idaho.
