(toothed) belts to drive the camshaft (s). Belts drive the
control steering pump, water pump, air-conditioning
compressors, etc.

A brake is a device for slowing or also stopping
the motion of a machine, and to keep it from starting to go
again. The kinetic energy lost by the moving
part is regularly translated to heat by friction.
