Hino Trucks topped J.D. Power 2010 Medium Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study

Automover News: Hino Trucks medium duty trucks topped J.D. Power and Associates rankings for customer satisfaction in 2010 Medium Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction Study. According to recent study Hino Trucks ranks highest in customer satisfaction with conventional medium duty engines and ranks highest in customer satisfaction among conventional medium duty trucks for two years running. Quality and reliability are most important aspects of overall satisfaction.

The engine study which is in its fourth year examined customer perceptions of 2010 model year Class 5, 6, and 7 trucks that were equipped with both gasoline and diesel engine system. The study looked at eight factors like engine reliability or dependability, ease of access for service or maintenance, maintaining speed on grades, acceleration when fully loaded, control module, vibration at idle, engine warranty and average fuel economy.

For the Customer Satisfaction Study, which is now in19th year J.D. Power measures perceptions of 2010 model-year Class 5, 6, and 7 commercial trucks. Here six factors are used to determine overall satisfaction engine, warranty, cost of operation, cab and body, ride/handling/braking and transmission. In addition study also measures satisfaction with services received from authorized truck dealer. The factors that are looked are service facility, service quality, service advisor, service initiation, service delivery and service price. Hino Trucks scored highest in all factors for both studies.
