Transport Canada again gets responsibility of Air Transport Safety

Canada Transport Minister John Baird announced on Tuesday that the government planned to stretch the rules managing air transport used by private companies to take business executives and other employees.

The government assigned the power to Canadian Business Aviation Association to provide operating licences for air transport. On Baird announcement Transport Canada will again get the responsibility for providing licences that officers wish will enhance supervision. Transport Canada will also begin a complete evaluation of the laws that leading the sector, said by superior government officer.

The Business executives are frequently twisted to private jets to keep away from long lines and irritates connected with business flights. However lots of events in recent years have increased issues on the association to adequate supervision.

A report issued last fall by the Transportation Safety Board identified a number of errors or oversights that contributed to the crash, including the pilots lack of experience. The report also concluded that under the new private licensing system, the jet operator had not adequately assessed the risks associated with such a flight.

Baird announced that his department was reviewing its approach on lat December. He does not support outsourcing the certification and supervision to private segment which is the full duty of the government. The government will take the responsibility for issue the licence on April 1, 2011, giving one year to adapt said by the industry officials.
