Ferrari the Italian sports car maker announced last month that the Ferrari 599 GTB Hybrid will be launched at the 2010 Geneva motor show.
The Ferrari 599 GTB car contains an electric motor generating around 100 HP and 137Nm or 110 lb-ft of torque that is attached on the backend of the back mounted transmission, and a battery pack positioned below the base of car.
The additional power is said to balance for the added load which is said to be close to 100 kilos or about 220 pounds making the Ferrari 599 Hybrid high-speed which appear same as the Ferrari 599 standard. The car is painted with special green colour to facilitate the green nature of the new Ferrari.
The car has high-voltage setup that supplies braking energy for an additional enhance of power via a push of the steering-wheel mounted button. The cars have Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) which is used in Ferrari Formula-1 cars during the 2009 Formula-1period.
