Abarth announced Abarth Punto Evo and Abarth 500C debut at 2010 Geneva Motor Show

Abarth the Italian sports auto maker announced that the two new cars Abarth Punto Evo and the Abarth 500C will be debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show next month.

Abarth Punto Evo

Abarth Punto Evo car is based on Fiat Punto Evo the Abarth version totally restores and modifies the car. Its performance basis is the 1.4-L Multiair engine boosted to 162 hp. The big Garrett turbo also precedes maximum torque to 250Nm or 184 lb-ft at 2250rpm. The car accelerates to100km/h in 7.9 seconds. More performance can be extracted for a future SS model featuring 178 hp, 18-inch wheels and high performance brakes.

The other features of the car are a new performance mode selection system which allows the driver to decide between a Sport and Normal driving type to outfit existing conditions. The Torque Transfer Control called as TTC is held to pick up the torque transfer from the engine to wheels which concurrently advances managing of the car.

The outer of the car is restructured with a large front bumper, a deeper ingestion cowl for improved aerodynamics, air diffuser, redesigned rear bumper and bigger double tailpipes. Within the car Abarth offered such equipment as new race enthused graphics and larger dials.

Abarth 500C

Abarth also revealing Abarth 500C features an electric soft top which is obtainable in either black or grey titanium, a third brake light which is integrated into the rear spoiler, a MacPherson front suspension and a 1.4 Turbo T-Jet engine making 103kW or 138 hp and 206Nm or 152 lb-ft of torque. Abarth says it accelerates 100km/h in 8.1 seconds and returns an average 6.5 l/100 km or 43.4 mpg.

The Abarth Punto Evo and the Abarth 500C cars are available with dealers in the next few months in Europe and Japan.
