The FT-EV II by Toyota is planned for urban driving, through four seats neatly fitted into a compact body. Its world presentation will provide a glimpse into the future of when electric vehicles will be commonly used with transportation that reflects user requirements, types of energy used and local energy supply infrastructures. With a battery range of 50 miles and top speed of over 60mph, the FT-EV II provides smooth acceleration thanks to the motor control technology.

An extra window lower the front windscreen for added forward visibility and transparent LED units for rear lamp clusters give the vehicle moving all round vision and, as a result, improved safety too. All functions (accelerator, brakes and steering) are controlled with a joystick creating larger areas for legroom and with electric sliding doors, even parking can be more compact and efficient.
