Kia Motors Corporation Korean automaker, has released the official images of their new range topping sedan market. The stylish luxury sedan, that has been named K7 for the domestic which is to be called 'Cadenza' in markets outside of Korea, will make its overseas premiere at motor shows in Middle East, at end of the year.
The Kia Cadenza name is derived from an Italian musical word used to describe an detailed, attractive flourish for a concerto or aria. It perfectly symbolizes the dynamic saloon's outstanding design philosophy and premium image.
Sporty and sleek in appearance, Kia Cadenza features a bold headlamp design with attention-grabbing LED surrounds and a purposeful, athletic character line. The prominent front grille and stylish tail-lights emphasise the car's high-tech feel and are a continuing expression of Kia's dramatic design DNA.
Soon-Nam Lee, Director of the Overseas Marketing Group, Kia Motors Corporation, said, "The new Kia Cadenza will showcase the continuing evolution in Kia's striking design language through the harmonious blend of light and lines. It will also present a new concept in luxury sedans in terms of performance and technology."
There are no photos of Cadenza's cabin but Kia says that highlights include the "futuristic 'floating' dashboard" and an "interior lighting strip that runs along the dashboard to the door trim" - whatever that means.
The Kia Cadenza's dynamic design and driving performance, allied with a raft of competitive passenger-friendly high-tech features, will make it a leader in the large, luxury sedan market segment.
The luxury features will comprise a heated steering wheel for winter driving in cold countries, motorized extendable seat cushion to give additional thigh support, automatic defogging of windscreen and ventilated front seats providing cool comfort in hot countries.
Kia's new mid-size sedan will be offered with 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with direct-injection churning out about 200 HP.
