Fuel Cells to power the Automobile Industry

Today the price of gasoline is shooting up across the world. Peter Strasser, an assistant professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, led his research team in finding a way to make the fuel cells more efficient and less expensive. This new fuel cell converts chemically stored energy straight into electricity and this is, two to three times more efficient in converting fuel to power than the internal combustion engine generally found in automobiles. According to Strasser, this fuel cell is a power making device that converts energy into electricity with very high efficiencies with no combustion, flame, vibrations or noise.
