State subsidizes automobile traffic

"State DOT is now cooperating with different I-84 investigations," the substandard tempest drains on I-84 between Cheshire and Waterbury is the least of our problems.

This $52 million scheme was fated from its inception. The entry to I-84 westbound in Cheshire is at the broad part of the highway. All is good for about 30 seconds. Then we hit the Waterbury bottleneck. It still takes 20 to 30 minutes to get by way Waterbury in the evening rush hour.
