Man convicted of automobile homicide

A 2nd District judges last week offender a 49-year-old Ogden man of killing two people as driving under the pressure of methamphetamine preceding year. Eddie Raymond Bustos was found responsible last week of two counts of automobile homicide in the Dec. 13 deaths of Philemon Ellis, 62, and Jessica Nelson, 21, both of Ogden. Following a two-day test, Bustos also was convicted of one count of evasion police during a terminated chase, which preceded the fatal crash. The charges are all second-degree felonies, carrying probable 1-to-15-year prison terms. Sentencing is set for May 8.
