The Florida Department of Transportation wants to remind the holiday travelers that they could get on-time traffic information from all over the state by dialing 511.

The American Automobile Association expects about 2.2 million Floridians to drive more than 50 miles from home for Thanksgiving existing year. By dialing 511, those drivers could in fact hear information on every thruway highway in Florida and on Florida's Turnpike.

511 is a free service of the FDOT and are accessible from land lines or cell phones, however cell phone would minutes apply.
