A private member's bill that would ban new drivers from using cell phones and MP3 players behind the wheel of your car is one step closer to becoming law after passing by Ontario legislature today.

The bill, tabled by Oakville Liberal Kevin Flynn, weaves the cell phone ban into few other graduated licensing restrictions as well. It unanimously passed second reading and also goes to committee for debate.
