CHENNAI: Automobile and information technology industries in Tamil Nadu state posted an attractive growth in the first six months of 2006-07 but also faced many problems, with inadequate power supply and skilled labor as well.

This was exposed by the bi-annual (April-September) economic survey conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry, southern region. The two industries grew between 15 and 25 per cent in the first six months compared in their performance in the corresponding period of 2005-06, said a press release.
