BIRCH TREE - A 1-year-old infant, David Rowlett of Thomasville, has died as the result of an injury he suffered in an automobile accident Sept. 5.

The accident occurred on U.S. 60 and Highway 99 in Birch Tree.

Rowlett died Sept. 8 at St. John's Hospital in the Springfield, according to Troop G of the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Rowlett was taken by an air ambulance to the Springfield hospital after the 1995 Plymouth driven by his mother, Kimberly Rowlett, failed to give way the precedence and herd into the path of a 1992 Chevrolet ambitious by Emanuel Earwood, 77, of Willard.

The elder Rowlett was in use to St. Francis Hospital in the Mountain View where she was treated and also released.
